Taylor Pinton
My work aims to push the conventional constructs within which traditional media exist. I deploy alternative methods of fabrication, installation, and reception for various media, including paintings, prints, and sculptural sketches.

I alter both found and fabricated industrial materials to illustrate the connection between art and labor. My work reveals the artist's role as laborer within a class structure, the system of power within the labor nexus of art (curators, art handlers, dealers, assistants), or how labor is used as a means of applying value and measuring virtuosity within a work.

Repetition is how I measure my labor; each mark made is my time, editioned.
